Ida Mae Butcher Tudor, 86, widow of William “Bill” Turley Tudor, died early Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Tudor was born, May 25, 1925, in Bath Co., KY, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Mamie Snedegger Butcher. She was a member of the Union City Christian Church. Mrs. Tudor was a friend to all and very active in the community, having also been a member of the Birthday Club, the Southern States Auxiliary, Madison Co. 4-H, Homemakers, and Extension Activities. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by one son: William Turley Tudor, Jr. “Billy”; two granddaughters: Lauren Tudor Agee (Derek), and Hillary Tudor, great granddaughter: Melissa Biggs, and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 AM, Tuesday, at the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM, Monday, at the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Derek Agee, Steve Curry, Darrell Tate, Donnie Winkler, Johnny Carnes, Keith Parke, and Ken Weitkamp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Rhodus, Cleo Durbin, Mary Weitkamp, Ann Elkins, Sarah Peavley, Joan Smith, Amber Maupin, Dorothy Bennett, and Sylvia Norris.
